Originally from New York City, she found her passion for fitness after discovering the world of aerial arts and circus. She became intrigued with the strength, flexibility, creativity and grace involved in the fascinating discipline and decided to dive deeper. Cindy moved to Chicago in the summer of 2014 and enrolled in the intensive circus training program at Aloft Circus Arts. The full time curriculum covered dance, character/clowning, acrobatics, flexibility, handstands, object manipulation, along with various circus skills and aerial arts. Her primary focus was on dance and contortion and minor focus on chinese pole.

As a movement enthusiast, she developed a strong interest in injury rehabilitation and injury prevention. She recognized the importance of understanding anatomy and mechanics, and its applications for increasing mobility and flexibility for the purpose of mastering certain performance skills or tricks. She also saw the importance of body maintenance and self care while training for performance.

Prior to the health and fitness industry, Cindy spent several years in research and academia, working on multidisciplinary projects involving data analysis, computational modeling, and social science.
